Green Bay Area Chapter SHRM offers its members a variety of great benefits to help them grow as professionals including top-notch programming and valuable networking opportunities that connect them with other area professionals and allow them to share best practices.

In addition to many other membership benefits, Green Bay Area Chapter SHRM members have access to the Member Directory allowing them to connect with other HR professionals in the area who may be a resource to them. Green Bay Area Chapter SHRM members also have access to a members only forum, through which they can post questions, participate in discussions, and connect with other HR professionals.

Professional – Premium Membership - $180.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Includes 2024 membership fee and breakfast and lunch meetings (excludes ½ day legal update)
- Individuals actively engaged in bona fide human resource function, faculty members teaching in the area of human resource management, full-time human resource consultants or attorneys practicing in human resource law, or individuals who are actively engaged in providing a service specifically related to human resource management activities in an organization.
- 50% of the job duties need to be a direct function of Human Resources. National SHRM membership is strongly encouraged.
- Professional members shall have voting rights and may hold office. Individuals who are unemployed but whose most recent positions consisted of a bona fide human resource function are eligible.

Professional Membership - National SHRM Member - $60.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments - Individuals actively engaged in bona fide human resource function, faculty members teaching in the area of human resource management, full-time human resource consultants or attorneys practicing in human resource law, or individuals who are actively engaged in providing a service specifically related to human resource management activities in an organization.

Student Membership - Free Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments - Individuals who are (a) enrolled either as full-time or part-time students, at freshman standing or higher; (b) enrolled in the equivalent of at least six (6) credit hours; (c) enrolled in a four-year or graduate institution and/or a consortium of these or a two-year community or technical college with a matriculation agreement between it and a four-year college or university which provides for automatic acceptance of the community or technical college students into the four-year college or university; (d) able to provide verification of a demonstrated emphasis in human resource management subjects, and
(e) able to provide verification of the college or university’s human resources or related degree program.
- Student members shall not have voting rights and may not hold office.
- While enrolled as a full-time college student you are able to obtain a Green Bay Area Chapter – SHRM member FREE of charge! When you complete the online application, in the ‘job title’ section – please list STUDENT.

Membership Benefits

Monthly Meetings
Informative, educational, valuable, and fun monthly meetings that run from January – May and September - December. As a member, you will be able to attend these meetings at reduced costs.

SHRM and HRCI Re-certification Credits
Most sessions are approved for SHRM Professional Development Credits (PDCs) and HRCI recertification credits.

Annual Legal Update
Annual legal updates presented by local attorneys that provide up-to-date legal information. The legal update offers multiple sessions allowing you to choose the topics that you’ll get the most out of!

SHRM-CP/SCP Certification Study Groups
Green Bay Area Chapter SHRM offers study groups designed to prepare experienced human resource practitioners and/or recent college graduates for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification exam.

Scholarships
The Green Bay Area Chapter SHRM offers scholarships for the SHRM Certification study group, and the Annual WI SHRM Conference.

Membership Directory
The directory contains a listing of members by name and by employer. This is an effective tool for connecting with other human resource professionals.

Membership is contingent on the approval of the Board of Directors of the Green Bay Area Chapter – SHRM.

Membership dues are collected on a calendar year basis. Members that join and pay membership dues from November 1st – December 31st will not be required to pay additional dues at the start of the following calendar year.
